19 C. Corsican / French Navaja Knife - 10364
This folding knife known also as Navaja . It was extensively used in France and Spain during the 18 and 19 Centuries to cut food as well as to settle personal accounts, and found as a man best companion still today. This one is Corsican, 19 Century made by Bechona Corce probably for the French or the Spanish market. Blade signed and marked with the maker sign and finely etched, 8 inches long with 3 ½ inches clipped tip. Handle set with painted bone and brass and with brass fittings. Total length 15 inches fully opened. Very good condition. Blade partially patinated.
