Arab Knife Shafra - 0690
This small knife is called in Arabic as Shafra or Kusha. It is carried in a special compartment attached to the rear side of the wide belt behind the Jambiya (Khanjar) dagger. It is found all over The Arabian peninsula id varying shapes. Here the blade is 7 inches long, heavy, down curving and engraved in geometrical lines in a typical Arab style. The grip is engraved silver.
It should be noted here that several sources (Stone, Egerton and others) identify this type of knife as Nepali
